Lawrence McCrobie

DR. LAWRENCE MCCROBIE currently serves as the Director of Bands at Valley High School in Louisville, KY. He is also the Coordinator of all instrumental ensembles at the school and works collaboratively with the Vocal Department helping to ensure the highest quality of access to Music Education. He has a long affiliation with Drum Corps, and has been a marching member, staff, administration, and as a Board Member of various entities. He is an active adjudicator for Marching Bands across the Midwest and in the Northeast and has also adjudicated for WGI winds.

Dr. McCrobie is the recipient of a 2024 NAMM National School of Merit award and was nominated as a 2025 Grammy Music Educator of the Year. He serves on the JCTA Board of Directors and is a member of NAfME's Connected Arts Network which provides support for educators across the country in curriculum development and overall support of the Arts. Dr. McCrobie resides in Elizabethtown, KY and is an advocate for equal and full access for all in the arts, especially for Music Education.
