Elise Borman

ELISE BORMAN (she/they) has been a percussion educator in the Twin Cities area since 2017, and has been an instructor with River City Rhythm (RCR) since 2020. She took on the Director of Development role in May, 2024.

Elise spent 5 consecutive seasons performing with the RCR Front Ensemble, and finished their marching career with Matrix Performing Arts' World Class Ensemble in 2019. Elise currently teaches the RCR Front Ensemble for both the Indoor Drumline and the Drum Corps, and has taught at numerous high schools in the Twin Cities metro area over the years. Elise completed 5 semesters and a music minor at the University of Minnesota from 2016-2019, where they performed with the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. After taking a break from school to pursue experience in the world class marching arts, they graduated in 2022 from Arizona State University - Online with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Elise received her substitute teaching license in the summer of 2024 and currently works as a substitute teacher at a local middle school near Minneapolis, MN. She currently serves on the MPA Circuit Board of Directors.

Elise is excited to continue learning and growing in their role as Director of Development. They care deeply for the success of RCR as a whole organization, and are grateful for the opportunity to help shape the future of the organization across all ensembles and platforms.
