2025 RCR Conductor Announcement

Waseca, MN – January 19, 2025

We are proud to introduce our four conductors who will be leading the 10th edition of River City Rhythm! Our newest conductors, Maelee Bruce and Abigail Monson, will join veterans Carter Grupe and Rachel Dorn on the podium this summer.

CARTER GRUPE is entering his second season of drum corps as a drum major of River City Rhythm. Carter is currently a Senior at Fort Zumwalt North HS in St. Louis, MO. Carter was also a member of his school's indoor percussion group where he played cymbals. Carter is looking forward to studying music education at Southeast Missouri State University.

RACHEL DORN is entering her third season of drum corps as a conductor of River City Rhythm. Rachel previously was on the RCR hornline for the 2023 and 2024 seasons as a baritone player and served as the section leader last season. Rachel is finishing her degree up at Madison College studying biotechnology. Rachel is thrilled to be aging out with RCR as a member of Team Hands!

MAELEE BRUCE is entering her first season of drum corps as a drum major of River City Rhythm. Maelee is currently a senior at Papillion La Vista South HS in Papillion. Maelee is primarily a clarinet player. Maelee served as a drum major for 2 seasons at her school. Maelee is thrilled to be marching her first season of drum corps with River City Rhythm.

ABIGAIL MONSON is entering her first and last season of drum corps as a conductor for River City Rhythm. Abigail is a flute player in RCR Winds, and is currently a psychology major at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Abigail is excited to experience drum corps, and to be a part of Team Hands with River City Rhythm.
