Garrison Kizzier

GARRISON KIZZIER is a percussion educator from Maple Grove, Minnesota. He has been teaching since 2019 - currently working with Andover High School and Lakeville Area Percussion as their batterie coordinator and with both the RCR Indoor Drumline and RCR Drum & Bugle Corps as a bass drum tech. He has formerly taught with Grove Area Percussion and Irondale High School.

Garrison stumbled into the marching arts as a clueless high school freshman, becoming an inaugural member of Grove Area Percussion in 2015. He went on to march with River City Rhythm Indoor ('20-'23), River City Rhythm Drum & Bugle Corps ('21), and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps ('22). Throughout those years, he bounced around the batterie- though he spent most of his early seasons playing snare or quads, he would finally find his true calling as a bass drummer to finish out his marching career.

Outside of music, Garrison works as a freelance AV technician and with his family business doing residential renovation. He attends Dunwoody College of Technology where he studies Architecture.
