Jack Johnson

JACK JOHNSON is a percussion educator and arranger based in the Twin Cities Area. Currently, Jack serves as an Instructor of Music at The College of St. Benedict and St. John's University, specializing in Drum Set and Percussion, and is also the Director of Percussion at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota. Additionally, Jack is a Battery Caption Manager at Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Diamondbar, California.


Previously, Jack served as the director and arranger of the Kansas State Marching Band Drumline, Battery Instructor for Colt Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, Battery Instructor at Minnesota Brass Indoor, and has worked with several high schools across the midwest as an instructor or clinician.


Jack has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication and a Minor in Music from The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and a Master of Music - Percussion Performance from Kansas State University where he held a percussion graduate assistantship teaching the drumline, percussion ensemble, and percussion methods course as well as other administrative duties. Jack has performed with the Blue Stars, Pacific Crest, River City Rhythm Indoor, and Minnesota Brass Indoor.

Jack proudly endorses Mapex and Majestic Percussion, Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets, Zildjian Cymbals, and Remo Drum Heads.
