Elise Borman
ELISE BORMAN (she/they) has been a percussion educator in the Twin Cities area since 2017, and has been an instructor with River City Rhythm since 2020. She also currently serves as RCR's Director of Development.
Elise spent 5 seasons performing with the River City Rhythm Front Ensemble: 3 seasons with the Drum & Bugle Corps (2016-2018), and 2 seasons with the Indoor Drumline (2017-2018). She completed her marching career with Matrix Performing Arts in the World Class Ensemble in 2019. While performing at RCR, Elise taught at numerous high schools in the Twin Cities, and continues to find new ways to support the marching arts community in Minnesota.
Elise spent 5 semesters at the University of Minnesota where she performed with the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. After taking a break from school to pursue experience in the world class marching arts, she graduated from Arizona State University - Online with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Elise recently received a short-term teaching license and will spend the 2024-25 school year as a substitute teacher at a local middle school.
Elise currently lives in Minneapolis, MN, and is grateful to be able to be a part of shaping the next generation of marching musicians and instructors in Minnesota.
