Ellie Mehr
ELLIE MEHR is an active marching arts and front ensemble educator from Minneapolis, MN. Serving the Twin Cities areas and beyond since 2015, Ellie brings passion, knowledge, and a desire to promote positive experiences, musical achievement, and personal growth to the programs that she works with.
Ellie currently serves as the front ensemble coordinator for the Irondale Marching Knights and as a co-director for the 2018 WGI PSA silver medalist and 2023 WGI PSA gold medalist Irondale High School Winter Drumline. She also works as a front ensemble instructor for the Madison Scouts and as a front ensemble consultant for Connexus, a PIW group based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to her experience as an educator, Ellie also performed with several marching ensembles including River City Rhythm Indoor (2015, 2016), Minnesota Brass Indoor (2017, 2018), Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps (2015), and the Boston Crusaders (2016).
Outside of the activity, Ellie graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and currently works as a board certified music therapist serving individuals of all ages and abilities in one-on-one, group, and early childhood settings. Ellie also serves as the Secretary for the Minnesota Percussion Association Board of Directors and was recognized as the Minnesota Percussion Association Instructor of the Year in 2021.
