Pat Miller
PAT MILLER is a full-time visual designer who has been involved in the world of pageantry arts for over 35 years. Originally starting his career as a performer with the Garfield Cadets, Pat has been involved with several DCI, WGI, and BOA programs. He has worked with The Cadets, Glassmen, Blue Knights, Phantom Regiment, Troopers and was the visual designer for the Louisiana Stars in 2019 & 2022. Pat has also worked with several state-champion scholastic programs, including Braden River(FL), Hialeah Gardens(FL), & Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology(VA). Since its founding in 2017, Pat has been the visual designer for Horizon Winds, an Independent WGI Winds ensemble from Sarasota, Florida. Horizon Winds is a five-time WGI medalist, most recently the 2024 Winds Independent World Class silver medalist.
Pat earned his Music Education degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and spent 25 years as an MS and HS Band Director. He is an active marching band adjudicator throughout the Southeast and Midwest and in 2011 was a guest conductor at the University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival in Athens, Georgia. From 2005-2022, he was the Middle and Upper School Director of Bands at The Out-of-Door Academy, a PreK-12 independent college preparatory school in Sarasota, Florida. Pat now lives in Asheville, NC with his wife Julia and their two dogs. Pat is excited to be a part of the River City Rhythm organization and looks forward to a great 2025 season!
